Heroes of the ancient world seek to prevent a catastrophe and defeat Pluto’s scions. Can they fight fate or will the underworld envelope the planet?

The Roman sage Pliny the Elder warned of Mount Vesuvius’ eruption and convened with Proserpina, the goddess of the underworld. Thousands of lives were saved, but Pluto was robbed of new souls in the underworld. His displeasure led him to give the mortal realm an ultimatum: defeat his seven scions in the next year or face annihilation when Vesuvius erupts to blanket the world in ash and darkness…

Nations and peoples marshal their greatest fighters to contend with this existential threat. The New Argonauts, Kunlun, Lamosians, and Parthians represent the best of humanity. At the same time, the involvement of the Amazons, Atlanteans, and Pluto’s Refugees signal the universal plight of all who oppose the god of the underworld. Pluto’s scions pose unique challenges, though, and the ancient heroes must call on the aid of their skilled followers if they’re to form an effective fighting unit and defeat these deadly foes. If they have the fortitude and nerve to overcome the standard-bearers of the underworld, then maybe there’s a chance they can challenge Pluto himself!

Embark on a worldwide journey with one of eight epic heroes, assemble a squad of elite fighters, defeat primuses as you travel the ancient world, and prevail against one of Pluto’s scions at Mount Vesuvius. In this four-act campaign, every week will introduce new obstacles—contests of sport to entertain a crowd, conflicts full of bloodshed to appease the masses, and opportunities for your camp to prosper along the way. If your hero is defeated, it will spell doom for the world.

Hoplomachus: Victorum is a solo-only experience, designed from the gritty sand of the arena to the heights of Mount Vesuvius as an immersive test of skill. It pits players against a variety of battle scenarios and a wide range of fearsome rivals who thirst for blood. Easy to learn but hard to master, Victorum will wage war against players’ will to win.
